 Pondering Thought

Have you ever allowed your mind to over think? The mind begins to process that pondering thought, your finger gently rises, touching the side of your head as if it helps to speed up the brain storming. Inspired by a movie portrait of actor, Tommy Lee Jones, this colorless selfie created by Nicolas Smith depicts just that. With his finger stationed at the side of his head, Nicolas' face has no expression but yet appears to be triumphant. Answers are given with the power of your mind.

Sherlock Holmes Review
Who is Sherlock Holmes to the average person? A man who is insanely good at solving
Crimes? In the first episode of the series, created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the setting is in modern day London. In many other works, whether they are screen plays or novels, the detective is usually seen in an earlier time rather than in this day in age. Based on the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock has become the most famous fictional character of all time. Played by actor, Benedict Cumberbatch, the character is seen as a detective but also as sociopath. With help from Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman), Sherlock Holmes is depended on for more than just stopping crimes.

The suspense throughout the entire first episode causes the audience to be interested
during the entire show. Even though it is very exciting and will leave you on the edge of you seats, there are some corny scenes that you will have to be aware of. As you watch it, you get the mixed feeling of watching a not so serious thriller but then you feel like you are watching one of the most serious shows of all time. That is why this series is so great, it takes you on an emotional roller coaster which attracts the casual, action movie lover. This series revamped Holmes to be exciting and daring, with humor.  The creation of this update fictional character by Moffat and Gatiss, is done exceptionally well, to the point that Sherlock even loves texting on phones rather than call people.
Mystery is seen throughout the entire episode. We are started out with not knowing who Dr.Watson or Sherlock Holmes was for a good amount of time at the start of the show. This leaves the audience to wonder why these men are so important. With Holmes being a sociopath and Watson being a smart, ex-military soldier, this twosome makes a great pairing. The ending of this episode makes the audience want to come back for more. Leaving on a cliff hanger makes this episode more and more appealing. Besides some corny scenes here and there, overall, this episode was interesting to say the least.
